Have you heard of the "dirty dozen" ?? Well if you haven't, you need to learn about it!! I found out the hard way that some of the "healthy" stuff we think we are eating is covered in harmful chemicals!!
How did I find out?? Well, I went on a juicing diet for 7 days, only fruits and veggies in liquid form. I did great except for the fact that my face broke out in a weird rash..... I did some research and determined it was from the Kale I had bought. I didn't buy organic and probably didn't wash them well enough, so I was breaking...

Life Update...
I feel like a chicken with my head cut off lately. I have lots I want to accomplish and not enough time to do it all. I enjoy being busy, but when not being overwhelmed. I guess that's what the holidays can do to a person. This weekend was a nice one though, not to busy..... but productive enough to satisfy me.

2nd hand stuff

I have been trying to deter myself from buying new and instead of running to target or the nearest mall for my shopping fix, go to a thrift store. So far so good, I've scored on some awesome things! I'm also working on not spending mass amounts all at once, but a few things here and there. I found a few stores that I will for sure be going to regularly :) Here are the latest finds .....

Sweet Nothings
So I am sitting in a dark room while both my Roberts are fast asleep, going through pictures from yesterday. The fact that Robby is walking in all but maybe 2 of them..... I am reminded how fast time is going by. I am lucky to be home with him and able to experience new things with him. I just cant help but feel as Robby gets older and he learns how to make a bigger mess out of everything, its bittersweet. Soon he will be to occupied with other stuff to mess up the kitchen with all the pots and pans while I wash dishes or rip all of...
Flashback Friday No. 2

This photo was taken in the summer of 2009, I am sitting in Central Park in NYC. I had a fabulous day that day! It was hard to choose just one photo. I was in Philadelphia visiting family and found a bus that will take me to NYC for the day and take me back for like 20bucks! So I went there alone and got lost in that amazing city! I was pretty broke and spent the last of my vacation money on food and few souvenirs. I took a nap in the park under a wonderful shade tree, got purposed to by a creepy foreign man, had lunch with a friend,...

Simmering Stovetop Potpourri - Home Remedies
Its that time of the year again, where we get to indulge ourselves in so many great things !! I love the smells of Christmas almost as much as I love Christmas itself. I just love to fill our house with real smells, not the chemically filled and expensive smell of candles. If the house isn't filled with the aroma of a feast being made then you will for sure find a pot of stove top potpourri in our kitchen!! It is so simple and if you cook/bake regularly like I do, then you most likely have the ingredients in your kitchen already. ...
