Theresa, the business woman??

So this is the question I recently started asking myself, I have always enjoyed making things. My first love was cards and paper crafts which I haven't actually done in a while. I LOVE making cards for people on special occasions!! More recently though I've been making wreaths and felt things (mostly flowers and bows) I actually sold a few to a friend !! I found it a little more stressful making things for people when they are actually paying for the product. I start to doubt myself tremendously, so even though I love it.... Should I really start selling them ??? My goal for now is to make a few with no one in mind and sell them!! See how it feels....

So keep your eye out for some Miss Louise originals ;)

Moving Forward, Looking Back

Some of you may have noticed that the blog got a new look recently, I thought since it was the new year and the other look was a little outdated it was time for a change. While changing things on the website it gave me a chance to look back at old old posts like THIS ONE and THIS ONE. I realized this blog has become less about doing and creating things, and more about my life. I don't think it is a bad thing, but I want to try a little harder to bring you guys some projects. So keep an eye out for some totally awesome mom crafts coming your way!!

P.S.
feel free to browse the blog archive, some adorable Robby stuff in there that I have sort of forgotten about !!

A Place for My Things ????

We are fortunate enough to have a guest house/back house/extra space in our backyard. It is a 2story place and well since we are only renters we haven't done much with it. Our washer and dryer reside in there along with everything we need to store, which is A LOT because our house is on the small side. Robert uses the top half to record music and more recently a podcast him and a friend have started, Read Em and Wheat, I have decided to make something out of the bottom half. I do a lot of DIY and crafts, not to mention TRYING to pick up sewing. So I decided to make it my space to do what I do, whatever that may be. Its been a mess because I haven't put a lot of effort into it just yet. This morning I had an unusual amount of energy, so I cranked up the country love songs and got to work!! and during the demessifing (yes I made up that word) process, I started a few gifts for friends that I've been meaning to start. YAY!

I was also able to get out all of the baby food and other glass jars I have been saving! I have lots of ideas for them! just need to slowly start the creative process, soon I hope! I plan to do a little searching for a few good tutorials and share with you guys.....

after I was bored with cleaning I decided to thread my sewing machine, which is way harder than it seems! I am sorry to say, the machine won.... I gave up after a good 30 mins of trying to thread the needle, yes my friends I was at the very last steps ... I'll attempt again soon, or ask my dear friend to come over and do it, she sews all the time hehe.

oh and just in case you thought I was lying about the sappy love songs.....

my phone is filthy!!
.... now pretty stuff I took pictures of while I was back there

Robert and I are taking our first road trip with baby very soon! We are taking him up north to see the snow and relax a little... This mom is very excited about that!! Pictures will soon follow our return!

Oh the places you will go .....

So I made this for my boyfriend on our last anniversary. It took me forever because I didn't have an easy way to trace the states and I had to watch my little one while doing so.... with help from my mom. We plan to cover it with pins and travel all over the U S of A !! but right now we only have AZ and CA.

I don't have step by step pictures of me making it, but I will attempt to explain how I made it ...

Stuff you will need:
Mod Podge (MATTE)
Paint (optional)
Craft Letters
Cardstock
Scissors
Tracing Paper
Canvas (the size you want it to be, the smaller the harder)

Hair Mask - Home Remedies

I have always been fascinated by the multiple uses of the stuff we have around the house and how there are so many safer ways to do things, not to mention cheaper too!

This one is for damaged hair using Olive oil and Rosemary (essential oil).
