Date Night

As parents Robert and I don't get  to go out on dates like we want/used to, so every now and then we drop Robby off at his grandparents (which they love) and we get to act like boyfriend and girlfriend for a few hours. When we first started dating sushi was a weekly thing for us, now its a rare occasion. We planned to go to a place downtown that a friend recommend Moira Sushi, but apparently we are uncool and showed up before 5pm which is when they opened. We had a laugh about being the "out of touch" parents that had dinner at 4pm and went to bed by 8pm. The only other sushi place I knew of in the area was Stingray Sushi, so although the place was empty..... it was open.

He and I both splurged and ordered a very OVER priced beer/cocktail and stuffed our faces.

How excited I was when the sushi got to our table. hehe.

Delicious. yet EXPENSIVE!
It didn't take as long as we had planned at dinner so afterwards we wondered around the shopping mall holding hands and talking about old times.

I never had "hips" till I had a baby.
We then found ourselves at a thrift shop that was near by called "Cheap Thrills" and "Cheap Thrills 2".  I am STILL in search of that vanity I spoke about in a previous post, so we hoped to find something there.

They did have some awesome old stuff and I was a kid in a candy store. We didn't make any purchases though, but we will return again soon.

Finally, home with my boys... and out of those heels.

Flashback Friday No. 1

I love this picture so much! It was taken some time in 1988, which makes me around 2yrs old. We were at a lake in California somewhere, it was our first family trip since my mom had just given birth to my little brother. I followed my older sister around like a little puppy dog, which she hated. We are 6yrs apart so I came and turned her perfect world upside down to say the least. hehe. We are just now really becoming friends and she's in her thirties already. While my brother and I have always been buddies, this is the main reason Robert and I want to have our children close together! But back to the point. I love this picture, it shows what my childhood was pretty well, barefoot, no shirt, in the middle of no where :) I love my parents! Thank you for being so relaxed!

Its hard to be "original" anymore with so many people having blogs!! So I'm almost certain someone out there does Flashback "someday". Sorry..... its not intentional.

Anything Crochet

I am obsessed with anything crocheted!! I have recently started crocheting with two wonderfully creative souls, and although I'm a slow learner .... I have very high hopes!! The only thing I have managed to finish and look good are leg warmers.... sort of. Robby found one that was not tied off and unraveled it, so I guess those don't count either.

I love these little flowers I made though, I want to make a beanie and add these for sure!!

Here are a few other awesome things crocheted and the links to "how to" . . . .

Adult Beanie

I'm sure I will post many many more crochet patterns, I just love it!!
Happy Crocheting!!

Sorry for the mess....

As you can see the blog is kind of a mess at the moment, I am in the process of "making it my own". Luckily Robert went to school for web design so I wont be half assing it! otherwise I would be pretty clueless. Only speed bump we've hit is, not agreeing on a lot of the design stuff. I hope to be looking new and pretty in a few days!!! bare with me friends!!
